My son's room gives me great joy and happiness, it is a room that makes us both feel calm and relaxed throughout the year. I have tried to stick with muted paint colours, natural wicker baskets, wooden toys and books so that at bed time or nap time he can play and wind down in a more peaceful, less frenetic space.
I think it's really important to make a calm space for the little ones, separate to the playroom and our living rooms which are normally piled with bright plastic noisy toys!
